● Snakes on a GCH ● Friday, August 18, 2006 @ 08:08 am
So, of course since I love Snakes on a Plane, I went to see it and I definitely had my ears peeled for Gym Class music. Well, the guys have not one, but two songs prominently featured in the movie!
-The first appearance of GCH music, which is "It's Okay, But Just This Once!" is right when you first meet Three G's at the airport, surrounded by little kids.
-The second appearance of GCH music, which "New Friend Request" is right when Mercedes is eyeing up Three G's on the airplane before it takes off.
Also, as you probably know by now, you CAN catch Travis along with William Beckett, Maja Ivarsson, and of course, Gabe Saporta, at the end during the credits in the video for "Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)". 90% of the people I was in the theater with stayed in their seats or stood on the stairs to watch and sing along.
My point? Even if you don't think you'd like this movie (which you WILL -- it's like going to Rocky Horror, only better, especially if you bring your own props like paper airplanes and rubber snakes!), go see it anyway to support our GCH boys.
● GCH joining AAR tour ● Tuesday, August 15, 2006 @ 09:14 pm
I didn't want to say anything until I for sure saw it posted on another site, and now that I'm starting to see it, I guess I'll go for it and say it. GCH told me a few times at Warped that they'll be on tour with the All-American Rejects after the tour with Cobra Starship. It looks like it's going to be a pretty huge tour, about the magnitude of a GOOD Nintendo Fusion Tour line-up, so make sure to get your tickets early once the dates are officially announced.
● Some SOAP/Cobra Starship/Travis news ● Monday, August 14, 2006 @ 09:03 am
If you're going to the Cobra Starship show on the 16th at the Key Club, Cobra Starship has posted a message telling you to dress your best, as you'll be walking the red carpet and being interviewed by Gabe, William, and our own Travis, and having your photos taken.
Also, remember to watch the Jimmy Kimmel show on Friday the 18th to see Samuel L. Jackson and Cobra Starship. Word on the street that William and Travis may be performing with Gabe.
And one final note -- don't forget to go see Snakes On A Plane! It opens on the 18th, and many theaters are having advanced screenings the night before. At Warped Tour, Travis kept telling people to make sure to see the movie, because you may hear some Gym Class songs at random times. I know I have my ticket for a 10 PM advanced screening.
Okay, so I got sick of my keyguard screen on my Sidekick a few days ago and decided to make a new one. After realizing about 10 minutes ago that I might like to share it, I uploaded it and am going to post it and download/installation information in the jump text.
● Sidekick version is up! ● Saturday, August 12, 2006 @ 12:36 pm
You've obviously noticed if you came into the site through the index page that the Sidekick version is officially up! There are a few pages I did notice need some work, but if you see any issues, PLEASE e-mail me at issues@anotherpapercut.net so I can fix them!
● Server upgrades ● Friday, August 11, 2006 @ 09:42 pm
I just got an e-mail saying that the server this site is on is going to be replaced tonight since it is failing, so that will account for some downtime. They hope to have the sites housed on the server back up by 6 AM, so hopefully there won't be much time down.
● Inactive gallery users ● Thursday, August 10, 2006 @ 08:43 am
Just as a side note -- if you don't actually view any album(s) in the gallery, it marks your account as inactive in my administrator panel and I routinely delete those. If you want to keep your username, make sure that you visit at least one gallery, so your account isn't marked inactive.
● Chicago Warped pictures ● Thursday, August 03, 2006 @ 10:13 pm
The few pictures I took after the interview in Chicago of Travis, Matt, 106, and Disashi will be in the gallery either tonight or tomorrow night. I've decided that these ones are going to be tagged, just because I know what happened to other pictures of band members in other bands holding paper signs and I really don't want that to happen to these pictures.
Also, the interview will hopefully be up shortly. I just have to figure out how I can record the interview from the microcassette that they're on right now to my computer without just sending it through the microphone because face it, we all know how shitty that'll sound. Travis did give everybody on this site a shoutout at the end, though, and it was a really comical time (you can hear me and Kassie laughing pretty hard in the background), so it'll be a great addition to the site.
EDIT @ 10:34 PM EST; The photos are up in the gallery! They're under Candids, Warped Tour Chicago, and AP.net interview. Enjoy!
