The site's been experiencing a lot of downtime, if you haven't noticed, but fear not! We are working to get this solved with our host, e-starr (who are AWESOME).
We are thinking of taking donations for the guys to pay for some of their expenses and we have some interest already. Comment here or e-mail donations@anotherpapercut.net if you're interested in helping out.
We've got an interview scheduled with GCH for July 30th at Warped Tour in Chicago, so if you have questions for us to ask the guys, send your name and location (city and state) and of course, question(s) to interview@anotherpapercut.net, leave a comment here with that info, or post on the new message board.
Kassie and I came up with an idea while discussing the accident today that maybe we could take donations for the guys to help pay off some of the costs they may soon face in regards to buying a new van, trailer, buying new gear to replace anything broken, etc, and we thought we'd see if anyone was interested. If you are, leave a comment here saying you are or drop an e-mail to donations@anotherpapercut.net and let us know that you'd be interested. If we get enough people willing to donate some money to the guys, we'll set up either a PayPal account or a way to send cash, checks, or money orders or something.
● Send prayers and good thoughts out to the band ● Friday, June 02, 2006 @ 01:59 pm
This is taken word-for-word from AbsolutePunk.net -
"Gym Class Heroes were in a serious van accident early Thursday morning in southwestern New Mexico. They totaled their van and trailer, and most of their gear was unsalvageable. Travis, Matt, Disashi and Eric are all alright, just a little banged up. Seth was flown to a near by hospital, and got out of surgery late last night. He is in good spirits, and will hopefully be heading back to New York this weekend. A full statement from the band will be coming soon, but we just wanted to let you all know they have cancelled their shows this weekend in Arizona and California. Summer tour plans remain the same, and they look forward to seeing you all on Warped Tour."
If you guys can, go head over to the FBR store and buy some GCH merch to support the guys and hopefully help them to replace some of their stuff. Send good thoughts and prayers Seth's way as well; he's one of the coolest people on the face of the earth. Also, click on the jump to read Matt's statement that was also posted on AbsolutePunk and on GCH's MySpace blog.
I just added a message board as I've gotten a few e-mails and a guestbook entry requesting one. I'm still trying to fix all the HTML and kinks but it's up at anotherpapercut.net/board. I'm going to add a link to the site section later. Join up and make sure you post in the tour dates forum as to which date(s) you'll be attending on the upcoming Warped Tour!
Also, don't forget to see the previous post about the interview questions! You can also post them in the message board now.
● Tour page updated & interview questions ● Wednesday, May 31, 2006 @ 12:55 pm
I just updated the tour page to take all the old dates off. Don't forget to catch the guys at your local Warped Tour stop this summer as well! Kassie and I will be taking photos at Warped in Chicago.
Also, we have secured an interview, so if you have any questions for the guys that you'd like us to ask, send them to interview@anotherpapercut.net and we will definitely add them to the list of questions to ask! Make sure to include your name, city, and state as well. If you don't feel like dropping a line, then feel free to leave your name, city, state, and question in the comments and we'll add those to the list, too.
As you may or may not know, GCH has just shot a video for what will be the first single off "As Cruel As School Children" and the song is called "New Friend Request". It will probably be surfacing soon so as soon as I get word it's been posted online, I'll link you guys to it. In the meantime, check out the guys' MySpace for a few songs that you may or may not have heard before.
● "Under The Bridge" demo ● Friday, May 19, 2006 @ 12:26 am
I totally forgot to post that the OTHER AP.net, AbsolutePunk, posted an ABSOLUTExclusive of a demo of GCH's contribution to Punk Goes 90's, the Red Hot Chili Peppers' song "Under The Bridge". Score the song here.
